1890 Family Bible

This old family Bible was really falling apart.  The owners wanted it to be put together so that they could open it from time to time. After repairing some of the torn and loose pages, I created a new leather spine and then glued the old spine onto it.

Kid’s Art Work

It is very special to save your kid’s art work, but it can become an unruly pile.  What do you do about it?  Make them into a book!  I was sent these stacks of pages from a mother of twins.  The pages were of varying sizes, so I was not able to trim the pages […]

Handbook of Automobiles 1914

I rebound a book called the Handbook of Automobiles.  The original cover was a paperback.  I made a new leather cover for it, then glued on part of the original front cover.  I also made a clamshell box to hold it.  I used copies of the original flyleaf as the lining of the clamshell box.

Clamshell Box

A customer had a collection of some very special books that he wanted to keep together in a clamshell box.  I loved the owl cover on the one book and was able to incorporate that into the box.  I think it turned out very nice! Here’s the clamshell box made with forest green leather: And […]

Baby’s First Years

The mother of these children kept a daily log of what her babies did during their first years.  Those pages were bound to make these lovely books and mementos of those early years. Then I made a slipcase to hold both books.

French Grammar

This book was a little paperback book that was coming apart.  I was able to restore it as a hardback book and glued the original covers onto my new hardback cover.  Not this book will be able to be used for many more years to come!
