This page will feature some of my most recent projects here at Lynda’s Custom Book Binding. I do so many fun things that I thought I’d share some of them with you.
Today I want to highlight this special book since I have made many copies of it in the last couple of years. It’s the story of a sailor in the Navy who met a girl while on leave in Finland. They corresponded by letters after that for 4 years, and even got engaged by mail. The 2nd time they met, they got married and lived happily ever after. After she passed away, he found the letters they had written which she had saved. This book contains the letters and many photos of his travels while in the Navy. Women who read the story love the romance. Men who read it (especially those who were in the Navy themselves) are reminded of their time in the service. It brings back many memories.
I imprinted the wording on the spine. The front cover was designed by his son and is printed on photo paper which I glued onto the front cover.
